African Relish is a recreational cooking school set in the Karoo town of Prince Albert, Western Cape. This culinary hall is the only purpose built facility of its kind, and offers guests the chance to take part in a South African gourmet tour, whether by dining at the restaurant of by joining a cooking session and preparing your own feast.

The African Relish restaurant offers a unique way to dine in Prince Albert. Pick your favourites from the set menus with cuisines from around the world, and enjoy the laidback atmosphere. Their Theme Cuisine set menus are held on certain dates and will include dishes from Italy, India, Morocco, Vietnam, Spain, Japan, Ethiopia, Chile, Mexico, and more.

The African Relish garden has indigenous and exotic fruit, vegetables, and herbs that are used to prepare all dishes in the restaurant and cooking classes. The garden surrounds an olive orchard where olives are harvested for pressing and pickling. Part of the cooking experience includes gathering from this garden. Don’t miss the flower garden which abounds in a mix of indigenous, endemic, and exotic roses, trees, shrubs, and more.
