Ben Alberts Nature Reserve

Description

The Ben Alberts Nature Reserve is located just outside of the town of Thabazimbi in the Waterberg region of the Limpopo province. Although it is small for a nature reserve, at only 2000 hectares, it is fully stocked with game, including giraffe, white rhino, kudu, eland, warthog, zebra, wildebeest, and antelope.

The Ben Alberts Nature Reserve has been rated as one of the best birding reserves. It is well known for its Vulture Restaurant, and is also the site where the Kumba Hardekool Mountain Bike Challenge is held. Activities include bird watching, game viewing, and hiking.
