Bridge House School
Description
Bridge House School is an independent co-ed boarding school just 10km from Franschhoek in the Cape Winelands. Situated on the 28 hectare Waterval Farm, the school caters for Grade RRR to Grade 12 and has 800 students.
Bridge House is a globally relevant and sustainable learning community, with a focus on each individual's potential to lead, innovate, and serve with confidence in a changing world. The school has home-from-home boarding for Grade 5 to 12 pupils in a safe environment.
HERITAGE
Bridge House School was founded in 1995 by the Huxter, Rands, and Friedman families. It began with 54 pupils in the hamlet of Simondium and then moved to Waterval farm in 1998.
ACADEMICS
Bridge House School has a focus on the individual with small classes and excellent academic achievements. The Matric pass rate in 2014 was 100%. The school motto is “Learning for Life”.
SPORTS & CULTURE
The school has a variety of traditional and individual sports available for all grades. Students compete with other schools in the area and take part in sports festivals and tours all over South Africa.
