Description

The Cape Morgan Nature Reserve is a coastal forest reserve located in East London, Eastern Cape. The nature reserve takes its name from the automatic lighthouse that towers above the trees of the indigenous forest lining the beach. The ruins of an old Titanuim mine, which was started by Trev Milner in 1958, is nestled in the reserve and can be accessed from the Kei Mouth Golf Course road. A new eco centre has been constructed to accommodate large groups of school children who visit the reserve to learn about the Wild Coast. The reserve is a rich biosphere, home to a huge variety of plants and animals.
