Description
The Charles Mopeli Stadium is a grass-surfaced soccer stadium located in Phuthaditjhaba, South Africa. The stadium has a capacity of 50,000 and is mostly used by the Free State Stars (a Premier Soccer League club) and the African Warriors (a National First Division club).
Phuthaditjhaba is a small town located on the banks of the Elands River in the Free State province of South Africa. Phuthaditjhaba is a seSotho name that means “meeting place of the tribesâ€. The region is often referred to as Qwa-Qwa, meaning “whiter than whiteâ€, after the frequent snow that falls on the Drakensberg mountain peaks surrounding the town.
