Clifton Preparatory School
Description
Clifton Preparatory School is an independent co-ed boarding school based on a 60 hectare estate in Nottingham Road in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands. The school is governed by a Board of Trustees and a Board of Directors and is a non-profit, public benefit organisation. The school caters for learners from Grade 000 to Grade 7 with a pre-primary, junior primary, and senior primary. The school offers termly, weekly and part time prep school boarding for boys and girls from Grade 1 (6 years) and up.
Clifton Preparatory School also has a 30 hectare Riding School with 12 stables, a riding instructor, grass show jumping arena, sand dressage area, and a cross country course with a water complex. Students can enjoy scenic outrides in the pine plantations and farmlands.
HERITAGE
Clifton Preparatory School was founded in 1942 when half of the Clifton School moved from Durban to the Natal Midlands during the Second World War. Clifton Preparatory School added Grades 1 to 3 and removed Grade 8 which was previously only for boys.
