Conradie Family Vineyards
Description
Below the towering Langeberg mountain range, in the valley of Nuy, lies the Conradie Family Vineyards and family farm, Werda, which were established in 1871. Currently, the farm and 90ha land is owned and run by the 5th generation of Conradies. As they believe in quality over quantity, they limit the wine quantities produced to keep it exclusive, and as such reflect this in the “Private Cellars†text found on their label. Wines produced here include Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Colombar, and Riesling.
Visitors can sample award winning wines, enjoy a hearty country lunch at their on-site restaurant, or if you’re swept away by the picturesque scenery, stay at their Cape Dutch guesthouse and awake each morning to the outstanding views. Facilities at the guesthouse include a swimming pool, a log fire in winter, and a few converted cellar rooms, as well as the more traditional bedrooms.
