Description

The Fourways Farmers Market is a wonderful outdoor market held on Sundays at the Earth Outdoor Living Nursery in Johannesburg, Gauteng. Enter under the pine tree canopy and head down the path, through the hay bale, to the picnic lawns. Signposts will direct you “coffee to the right?” or “eats to the left?” and you’ll find supermarket aisles offering the tastiest treats imaginable. There are over 50 stalls with local and seasonal produce, including fresh fruit and vegetables, herbs, locally made cheeses, cured meats, farm eggs, and baked items. There is a choice of seating under the Jacarandas or the Maypole Ribbon Marquee, and on a good day, you can picnic on the lawns while your kids enjoy the play area. Don’t forget to stop by the olive grove, herb and vegetable gardens, and the country-style rose garden.
