Frontier Hospital is a 245 bed public hospital situated in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. The hospital is a referral hospital for hospitals and clinics in the Chris Hani District Municipality, comprising of Lukhanji, Inxuba Yethemba, Emalahleni, Sakhisizwe, Intsika Yethu and Engcobo municipalities. The total population served is 820,000.

GETTING THERE

The hospital is located in Olivier Road, Queenstown, Eastern Cape. Nearby main roads are the R61 and R392 Highways running through Queenstown. Queenstown is located 48km South West of Lady Frere on the R410, and 65km North East of Tarkastad on the R61.

PAYMENT

Frontier Hospital is a provincial hospital, and services are free to pregnant and breastfeeding women as well as children under the age of six years old. Other citizens are charged according to a sliding scale depending on their income.
