George Museum

Description

George Museum is a cultural history museum located in the town of George, Western Cape, South Africa. It preserves the history of the town of George with a special focus on the timber industry. It also houses an art collection.

Exhibitions at the George Museum include the outdoor complex: Wood Industry Exhibitions, exhibitions of local historical significance occupying the main building of the museum and the Forced Removals in George. The museum also hosts temporary displays and has a number of educational programmes.
