Description
Grey High School is a public school for boys in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape. The school caters for boys from Grade 8 to Grade 12 and has over 800 students. The Grey Institute also includes the attached Grey Junior School with nearly 800 students.
HERITAGE
Grey High School was founded in 1856 by John Paterson and named after Sir George Edward Grey who was the Governor of the Cape Colony. The school celebrated its 150th jubilee in 2006.
ACADEMICS
Grey High School prides itself on its 100% Matric pass rate for the last few years. The school motto is Tris Juncta Uno which means “Three Joined in One” which relates to the school’s emphasis on nurturing the mind, body, and spirit.
