Grove Ice Rink

The Grove Ice Rink is a fantastic family friendly attraction located at the Grove Mall in Pretoria, Gauteng. The first eco-friendly ice rink in Africa, Grove Ice Rink uses an ammonia and CO2 system (instead of glycol). The benefit is that CO2 uses less energy to produce the same amount of cooling compared to the glycol system. The rink will also make use of the wasted heat and harvest it for use in under floor heating, dehumidification, and hot water within the ice rink.

Grove Ice Rink will cater for ice hockey, figure skating, and speed skating. There is an 8 week course offering lessons for everyone, from 5 year olds to adults. This course involves a 1 hour group lesson a week on a Wednesday evening or Saturday morning. Due to its indoor location, this ice rink is a fantastic attraction all year round, and is ideal for birthday parties and corporate events.
