Chef Kaye at Isabella's Restaurant has created the ideal venue, where guests are made to feel welcome, comfortable and at home. Isabella's menu has a variety of excellently prepared reasonably priced dishes with a French flair, to suit most tastes. Situated within 17 on Beeton the Boutique Guest House.
Restaurant Information
Isabella's caters for a full English breakfast and is suited to casual diners. If requested breakfast can also be served in the form of a Breakfast Pack. The lunch menu features pasta's, burgers, cakes, assorted small meals, teas, coffees and a variety of cool drinks. Isabella's is not licensed and does not charge a corkage fee. Children of all ages welcome.
Menu Favourites
Some favourites on Isabella's night time menu are the Mussel Pot, Calamari Salad, Trout Gravlax, Fillet of Lesotho Trout, Stuffed Chicken Breast, Stuffed Calamari Tubes and several meat dishes. Favourite deserts are baked Cheese Cake and traditional Crème Brulee. The cheese used in a variety of dishes and sauces is cultured locally. Isabella's menu changes frequently with new dishes and seasonally, though old favourites still retain a place of pride. During the day Isabella's caters for generous and tasty breakfasts, lunches, light meals and refreshments. Where possible all of Isabella's meat, poultry and vegetables are sourced locally. Due to seasonal changes some dishes such as Lamb Shanks, Curries and Oxtail may be omitted during the summer months.
Sunday Special
Isabella's is open on month end Sundays for Sunday lunches and special menus are advertised for those functions. These are fixed price events with a reduced menu, which however always offers a fish and/or poultry options as well as meat dishes.
About the owner and chef of Isabella's Restaurant
This elegant 24 seater restaurant is owned and managed by Kaye Durant who is also a qualified chef. She has won several Culinary Gold Awards and has worked with a number of well-known chefs. Her cooking reflects the refined training she's received, with an emphasis on using local ingredients, where applicable, in simple but sumptuous dishes, with a distinct French flair.
Directions
From Bloemfontein take the R26/N8 to the Ladybrand/Maseru road past the airport (Braam Fischer) and remain on the R26/N8 until the Ladybrand turnoff some 5km past the Maseru turnoff. When entering Ladybrand keep going straight through the town, go over 5 stop streets and then turn left into Beeton Street, the restaurant is the 5th house on the right hand side. There is a signboard on the right hand side of the road before the Beeton Street turnoff. Please note that if using a GPS that you need to enter 17 on Beeton, as the restaurant is situated in the Guest House.
