Kalk Bay Harbour
Description
The Kalk Bay harbour is one of the last working fishing harbours on the Cape Peninsula, situated in Kalk Bay, around 30km from Cape Town. The harbour offers some of the freshest fish you will ever find, and its is also a full of seals, seabirds, and some of the Cape's most interesting characters.
The harbour hosts a number of great restaurants and pubs, such as Harbour House and Polana, offering some of the best fish and chips in Cape Town! Pick up fresh fish from the fishermen as they come in from sea, or head to Lucky Fish and grab some ready cooked food to enjoy on the quay. Kalk Bay is a must-visit when staying in Cape Town, particularly when the boats come in (usually around midday).
