Kidds Beach

Kidds Beach, Eastern Cape
+0

Description

Kidds Beach is a lovely beach located in a small village with the same name on the rocky shore of the Indian Ocean, just 30km from East London in the Eastern Cape. It was named after the first European to settle there, a seaman named Charles Kidd, who was a former mayor of King William’s Town. The beautiful 8km stretch of sand is a popular attraction, with plenty of opportunities for long walks, swimming, shell collecting, reef diving, and angling from the river mouth and rocky outcrops.

The ocean and tidal pool are popular among surfers and children alike. The surrounding hills are covered with spectacular indigenous flora and a large variety of birds.
