Kingswood College
Description
Kingswood College is an independent co-ed Methodist boarding school in Grahamstown, Eastern Cape. The school caters for students from preschool to post Matric and can accommodate a maximum of 430 students in the senior school and 300 in the junior school. Kingswood College has students from all over South Africa, Zambia, Kenya, Botswana, Tanzania, Namibia, Angola, United Kingdom, Australia, and the USA, and is a member of the Independent Schools Association of South Africa
HERITAGE
Kingswood was founded in 1894 and is one of the oldest Methodist boarding schools in South Africa. Kingswood College started out as the Wesleyan Collegiate School for Boys and moved to its current location in 1896.
ACADEMICS
The Matrics write the Independent Examinations Board (IEB) exams. The school motto is Studia Hilaritate Proveniunt which means “In Cheerfulness, Is the Success Of Our Studies”.
