Leopards Kloof Hiking Trail
Description
Leopards Kloof Trail is a challenging circular hiking trail that ascends through a thick forest towards a waterfall in the Harold Porter National Garden in Betty’s Bay, Western Cape. The hike offers beautiful scenery of fynbos and renosterveld, river crossings, as well as a variety of unique ecosystems. The hike is well signposted, with the final section being steep and aided by a series of wooden ladders.
The base of the waterfall is your final destination. Here in season (late December to end January) you will find the red disa flowering amongst the moss and rocks of the cliffs. Other trails in the reserve include The Fynbos Trail and Disa Kloof Trail. Please note that a permit is required from the front gate at Harold Porter National Botanical Garden.
