Description

Mala Mala Airport (AAM) is a medium-sized airport serving the Mala Mala Game Reserve, in the Mpumalanga province of South Africa. The airport offers both scheduled and private charter jet flights, and is popular among visitors who wish to experience a South African gaming safari.

Federal Air runs a twice daily shuttle service between OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg and MalaMala Game Reserve. Please note that Mala Mala operates on a 12h00 midday check-in to a 11h00 check-out. Luggage allowance is restricted to 20kg per person. A complimentary luggage storage facility is available with Federal Air for excess luggage. Please ensure a connection time of 2 hours for domestic flight transfers and 3 hours for international flight transfers.

As of June 2014, Mala Mala Airport will be offering air and road transfers between Mala Mala and Skukuza Airport.
