McCord Hospital

Description

McCord Hospital, a public hospital operated by the KwaZulu Natal Health Department, is situated in Durban, KwaZulu Natal. The hospital was closed down in October 2013, and taken over by Government and re-opened in February 2014.

GETTING THERE

The hospital is situated at 28 McCord Road, Berea in Durban, KwaZulu Natal. The nearest main road is the M10 to the North-West of the hospital. Other nearby main roads are the M17 to the North-East and the N3 highway to the South of the hospital. Berea is a suburb in Durban Central.

PAYMENTS

McCord Hospital is a provincial hospital, therefore services are free to pregnant and breastfeeding women as well as children under the age of six years old. Other citizens are charged according to a sliding scale depending on their income.
