Set against the Bain's Kloof Mountain Pass, with a restored cellar that dates to the 1800s, you’ll have your fill of history and beautiful scenery at Nabygelegen Private Cellar. They offer a personalised experience and wine tasting with their variety of wines that range from Chardonnay to Syrah, and Petit Verdot to Savignon Blanc. Being a lesser-known estate means you’ll have a more intimate wine tasting experience.

The estate had the honour of providing their wines (Nabygelegen Chenin Blanc 2008 and Snow Mountain Pinot Noir 2009) to the Queen of England at her Diamond Jubilee Lunch at Marlboro House. If you’re swept away by the charming atmosphere, you can stay within one of their three varied accommodation types, such as river cabins, a Cape Dutch cottage, or a variety of smaller cottages. They have a variety of facilities available for event hire, such as the Old Forge, The Stables, Historic Barrel Cellar, and even an underground wine cave.
