The Orlando Cooling Towers in Soweto are one of the main landmarks in the city of Johannesburg. They stand out in their colourful glory with their graffiti-styled exterior drawing the eyes of all passers-by. The Orlando Towers were established in 2007 by Skyriders with the purpose of restoring the cooling towers into a vertical adventure facility and tourist attraction in Soweto. Aimed at drawing local Gauteng adventure enthusiasts, as well as tourists, the cooling towers is promotes interest and support for the community that live in Soweto.
