The hospital is situated in Park Road in Oudtshoorn, Western Cape. Nearby main roads are the R62 to the South and the R328 to the East of the hospital. Oudtshoorn is located 61.4km North of George along the N12 highway and 87.6km North of Mossel Bay along the R328.

Oudtshoorn hospital is a public hospital and therefore services are free to pregnant and breastfeeding women, as well as children under the age of six years old and pensioners. Other patients are charged a consultation and/or admission fee.
