Arguably the best Mexican food in the country, Panchos Mexican restaurant in Observatory has a relaxed and animated atmosphere. Try the mouth-watering chili-poppers that come with fresh guacamole and sour cream (they’re not for the faint-hearted and will have you drinking up a storm). Order frozen margarita’s by the glass or a jug – choose between strawberry, lemon, mango, or a mix of your favourite flavours.
The servings are deliciously generous and very well-priced. It is possible to request your food hot or mild, so don’t be put off if you’re not into spicy food. Celebrate your birthday at Panchos and receive a shot of tequila on the house, with an (embarrassingly) large sombrero to wear as you’re sung to by the staff.
TIP: Panchos is always teeming with happy nacho-eaters so book in advance to avoid disappointment.
