Description
PheZulu Safari Park is a fascinating attraction in Botha’s Hill, in the Valley of 1000 Hills, KwaZulu-Natal. Visitors can expect a range of activities from guided tours of the snake and crocodile parks, to traditional Zulu experiences.
Enjoy a guided tour of PheZulu to learn about the crocodiles and snakes that reside here, meet Ramesis our 90 year old Nile crocodile, and have a hands on experience with Cleo, the 42kg Burmese python. Snakes you can expect to see in the snake park include the African Rock Python, Green and Black Mamba, Egyptian, Forest, and Spitting Cobra, Vine Snake, Puff Adder, Rinkhals, Boomslang, Night Adder, Southern Brown Egg Eater, Olive House Snake, Burmese Python and more.
In addition to the Reptile Park, Phezulu features a wonderful cultural village, home to the renowned Gasa clan. Enjoy the unique experience of visiting their traditional beehive huts where various artifacts, beliefs, and rituals are explained. Afterwards, visitors can enjoy a show of traditional Zulu dancing. Another fun activity for nature lovers is a 1-hour scenic game drive to see wildebeest, impala, blesbok, zebra, and giraffe.
After working up an appetite, head to The Boma Restaurant for a range of meals from traditional Zulu dishes to crocodile steaks, it can be hired out for a range of functions. Phezulu also boasts one of the best curio shops in Kwa-Zulu Natal, as well as a Reptile shop – Juniors.
