Settlers Hospital is a 251-Bed hospital and is a partnership hospital, consisting of Nalithemba hospitals and the Netcare group. The hospital is managed by the Netcare group.
GETTING THERE
Settlers Hospital is situated in Milner Street in Grahamstown in the Eastern Cape. Nearby Main roads are the R350 and R67 main roads as well as the N2 Highway. The hospital is situated on the Western part of the town. Grahamstown is situated 61km North-North-West of Port Alfred and 82km South of Fort Beaufort on the R67.
PAYMENT
Private Sector:
Medical Aid patients are to follow guidelines set out by their Medical Aid Fund. Private patients will be provided with an estimate by the hospital. The estimate is not the final bill, as many factors determine the final amount, such as specialist fees. The estimate provided by the hospital is payable prior to admission in cash, by eft/internet transfer or debit/credit card.
Public Sector:
Services are free to pregnant and breastfeeding women as well as children under the age of six years old. Other citizens are charged according to a sliding scale depending on their income.
