Slow Life Cafe
Description
Slow Life Café is a very laidback pescetarian eatery situated opposite the station building in Muizenberg. The café is both child and dog friendly, offering an interior filled with funky eye-catchers like repurposed pallet furniture, an astro turf wall, and shelves filled with locally made eco-friendly items for sale such as compostable flower pots, wire sculptures, Raku pottery, upcycled laptop bags, Consol solar jars, and more.
The furniture is all mix and match, with colourful table cloths, a wall filled with drawings and notes from happy customers, and well used cushions. Pick from the baked goods on offer or build your own sandwich. The food is served on cute heart-shaped wooden boards, and while the service isn't anything to rave about, the food certainly is! Slow Life offers a Suspended Coffee programme that allows you to pay toward a beverage for a less privileged person.
When asked about his café, Paul says “Our name says it all – ‘Slow Life’ – slow down and you will discover that you are creative by nature.†Don’t miss their Sunday morning jazz vinyl sessions, live music, Thursday movie nights, and tri-weekly meditation sessions.
