The Slug & Lettuce Newlands is an intimate restaurant and cocktail bar located along the main road in Newlands, Cape Town. The warm interior is always bustling with happily chatting people enjoying a meal and a drink, with plenty of tables spilling out onto the pavement during the summer months. The Slug & Lettuce offers some of the best pizzas in the southern suburbs, and make sure you come starving as you're also given a bucket of popcorn to enjoy before your meal arrives.

We love the samoosa and springroll bowl, deep fried whole Camembert with cranberry sauce, avo and feta burger, and day aged rump steak. They have great cocktails too - we recommend trying the mango daiquiri! The Slug & Lettuce Newlands has both indoor and outdoor seating. There are also branches in Greenpoint, Longstreet, Kloof Street, Stellenbosch, and Durbanville.
