The New Blue Orange is a lovely coffee shop situated along historic Dorp Street in Stellenbosch. This eatery offers a range of healthy breakfast and lunch options in the centre of South Africa’s second oldest town. With freshly baked goods, free Wi-Fi, and aromatic coffee wafting out onto the street, it’s no surprise this coffee shop is so popular.

The Blue Orange is pet, child and wheelchair friendly! There is a beautiful leafy garden at the back of the restaurant filled with quirky décor, mix and matched tables and chairs, and a kiddies’ play area. Pets are given their own water bowls. Kids will also love the animals, from bunnies to chickens and ducks.

The menu offers everything from potted chicken pie with organic salad, to pasta, lamb shanks, and beef stir fry. The kitchen always has a range of homemade bakes on offer, so you can enjoy red velvet cake, freshly baked scones, muffins, or Lindt chocolate cupcakes with your tea or coffee. Other temptations include banana and caramel pancakes, fruit salads, and soup with homemade bread. The restaurant also offers a selection of platters such as biltong and cheese platters, and can cater with platters for functions.
