Tinley Manor Beach is situated in a laidback holiday town on the Dolphin Coast, just a 15 minute drive north of Ballito, KwaZulu-Natal. It is reputed for having the most exquisite sea views and beaches, and is known for offering the closest beach to Johannesburg. Just 50km north of the more popular hotspots of Durban and Ballito, Tinley Manor offers holidaymakers exclusive beaches without the crowds.

Tinley Manor’s southern boundary features a long lagoon that opens into the Indian Ocean and provides safe paddle-skiing, wind-surfing, and bird watching. The beach is lined with indigenous coastal forest, has its own tidal pool, and is known as a great dolphin and whale watching spot during the winter months. You may even spot other animals such as mongoose, buck, and vervet monkeys. In addition to rock and surf fishing, Tinley Manor also boasts some of the best spear-fishing reefs in the world! Other activities include safe swimming, surfing, scuba diving, rock and boat fishing, and sun tanning.

Tinley Manor has got some stunning offshore reefs that offer scuba divers and snorkellers a wonderful underwater playground. The nooks and crannies provide a haven for crayfish, but you will need a permit to fish for them. Please note that this beach has no shark nets and only seasonal lifeguards, so swimming is at your own risk.
