Wonderboom Airport
Description
Wonderboom Airport (PRY) is situated north of Pretoria, in the Gauteng province of South Africa. The airport was opened in 1937 on Wonderboom Farm as a civilian airstrip for light aircraft. It was used for military training during the Second World War, before returning to civilian control in 1945. Today, the airport remains a light aircraft facility offering chartered flights. Wonderboom is home to Pretoria Skydiving Club, where visitors can do a tandem or accelerated freefall jump over the Pretoria skyline.
