Reading House in Newlands is a perfect soul soother and being an 1896 heritage house, it’s certain to delight those with a love of period pieces. Surrounded by large trees and green lawns, you’ll get an exclusive feel while still remaining close to civilization. Their reading room, shown above, is fantastic to explore and lounge in.

Le Petit Karoo Ranch is just what the doctor ordered if you’re lacking any kind of lavish fun in your life. From windows which allow panoramic views of the endless horizon and green landscape, to a large bathtub you can soak your cares away in, you’ll definitely find a stay here one to remember.
