As beautiful as Cape Town is during the day, the balmy summer nights bring with them Christmas lights on Adderley Street, sundowner picnics on Signal Hill, and a lit up back drop of Table Mountain – all of which you can experience with the CitySightseeing’s popular summer Night Tour!

The Cape Town Night Tour is the only one of its kind in South Africa and explores a whole new side of the Mother City. The Night Tour is running until 3 May 2015, with departures taking place from the V&A Waterfront at 18h00 from 1 November to 7 March, and at 17h30 from 9 March to 3 May.

The Night Tour doesn’t operate on the regular Hop-On, Hop-Off routine like the other CitySightseeing tours but, as part of the tour’s highlights, includes a stop at Signal Hill. As a new offering, passengers can order a delicious snack pack or picnic hamper from CitySightseeing which will be delivered to Signal Hill for you to enjoy while watching the sun set over the Atlantic Ocean. Snack packs cost R70 per person, while the deluxe picnic hamper costs R220 for 2 people. Vegetarian options are available for both. Orders need to be placed by 4pm with either a CitySightseeing driver or at one of the Tour Offices.

The Night Tour bus makes its way past all the best night attractions, including the festive lights in Adderley Street over the Christmas season. The round trip takes approximately 3 hours and passengers are advised to bring along a warm jacket just in case.
