Awarded Best Luxury Hotel in South Africa by CNN Traveller, the 5-star Pepperclub Hotel & Spa in Cape Town has outlined plans to introduce five exclusive Club Floors specifically tailored for the discerning traveller.

The Club Floors will be located between the 15th and 20th floors of the hotel, which lies in the heart of Cape Town and is surrounded by all major attractions. Club Floor offerings will include an all-exclusive priority check-in and check-out facility, unlimited Wi-Fi and complimentary business centre assistance in the Club Floor lounge, luxury amenities, VIP room drops prior to arrival, and chauffeur-driven Rolls Royce airport transfers. Also forming part of the exclusive Club Floors is the hotel’s 750m² penthouse suite, complete with a private rooftop swimming pool and sundeck boasting panoramic views of the vibrant city below.

According to Pepperclub Hotel & Spa Chief Executive, Nick Seewer, the Club Floors concept will offer discerning travellers more than just the standard facilities and services one would expect from a 5-star establishment. Seewer states, “Due to the growing international trend of hotels introducing this concept, we are excited to launch this exclusive offering to our guests and extend those extra services to those who want a fully exclusive stay when visiting Cape Town.”

Tourism on the rise

Recent reports show that South Africa is experiencing phenomenal growth, with an increase in tourist arrivals of between 6% and 8% compared to 2012 figures. Seewer explains, “South Africa and Cape Town in particular, experienced an extremely successful 2012/2013 summer season with many major attractions reporting record visitor numbers.” He added that he believes the trend will continue as South Africa makes steady progress in attracting both local and international visitors.

“While this past summer season saw the same markets visiting the hotel, namely Asia, Europe, North and South America, as the previous year, the number traveling from these regions this season has increased substantially, with the Asian market in particular developing especially quickly. There was also a noticeable increase of European travellers compared to last year, which could be attributed to the market adapting to the recession, as well as the value for money South Africa is currently offering with the favourable exchange rate.”

Seewer explained how positive figures are likely to continue into the winter season. “The winter season is looking extremely positive due to an upturn in business expected from tour and incentive groups, as well as a very strong increase in interest from the North American market that enjoy travelling during South Africa’s quieter months.”
