Spring has officially sprung and what better way to celebrate the beautiful blossoms than with a fun-filled festival! Thanks to a creative collaboration between the garden club and other clever locals, the annual Spring Festival was born to celebrate the joys of spring while showcasing local produce, foods, arts and crafts. Although this is a fantastic reason to visit Magoebaskloof this time of year, there are loads of others that make it a great escape all year round. We’ve compiled an inside guide to Magoebaskloof so you can make the most of your spring visit.
Spring Festival
This year the festival will be celebrated from 23 September until 1 October and it’s jam-packed with great activities for the whole family and lots of opportunities to experience all that spring has to offer! Cheerio Gardens
If there is anything you absolutely have to experience, it’s Cheerio Gardens ─ home to the festival’s cherry blossom and azalea show. Besides the farm labourers whistling in the valley and the Samango monkeys jumping from tree to tree, it really doesn’t get any more peaceful than this. The farm shop, food hall and gardens are open everyday, so drop by anytime.
Cheerio Gardens also offers lovely self-catering accommodation, ideal for a tranquil stay. Activities on the premises include trout fishing, mountain biking trails, walking trails and picnic facilities.
