After a fantastic weekend in Tulbagh and Ceres, enjoying wine tasting, gorgeous country scenery, warm service, and adventure activities like hiking in the snow and zip lining, we’ll be giving you a week’s worth of #visitWitzenberg posts, showcasing some of the brilliant and quirky places discovered. Here are 21 of our top #visitWitzenberg Instagrams.

Saronsberg Vineyard Cottages are set just outside of Tulbagh town, on a lush wine estate surrounded by towering mountains. Enjoy a wine tasting on-site, visit the horse paddocks, light a fire in your self-catering cottage, or enjoy lazy afternoons picnicking on the lush lawns.

Guinevere Guest Farm is hidden on the R46 just after the Tulbagh turn. Here you can enjoy a personalized wine and olive oil tasting, stay in cosy rooms, and make use of the communal facilities such as the 2nd floor swimming pool, or swinging benches in the courtyard.

Eikelaan Farm Cottages provide a cosy country stay with all you could possibly need. Families will love the children’s playground, cosy bedrooms, and fully-equipped kitchens.

Tulbagh Hotel, set in the heart of Tulbagh, provides everything you could want, and more. From a fantastic restaurant and pub, to cosy rooms, they’re ideal for those after a local stay.

Readers Restaurant and Curious Cat café provides a cute, eclectic experience which cat lovers will enjoy. We highly recommend them for cute cat-orientated mementos and delicious food options.

Things I Love is a beautiful country-style wine shop and deli, situated with entrances on Church Street and Main Road. Pick up some local preserves and wines, hand-made clothing and scarves, artistic plates and cups, or settle in and enjoy a coffee and a meal.

Ceres is one of the top Western Cape destinations for zip lining over mountainous terrain, and for getting to play in the snow during the icy winter months. Naturally, while in the area, the TravelGround team had to investigate these top attractions, and we weren’t disappointed.
