Eikendal Winery
Eikendal, situated in the “Golden Triangle” of wine growing. Enjoy a glass of wine under the pine trees or go grape picking, while the kids make use of the jungle gym. Wine tasting is open from 09h30 – 16h30 Monday to Saturday, and 10h00 – 16h00 on Sundays (September to May); and 10h00 – 16h00 Monday to Sunday (June to August). Cellar tours are available on request.
Where to stay: Eikendal Lodge boasts Standard, Luxury, and Superior rooms. Relax next to the pool, dine at the restaurant, taste wines from the cellar, stroll through the vineyards, or pamper yourself with spa treatments.
Brenaissance Wine Estate
Brenaissance Wine Estate has produced 7 maiden vintage wines. Enjoy pizza and wine pairings, or relax in the boutique wine bar. Wine tasting is available from 11h00 – 12h30 and 14h30 – 17h00 on weekdays, and from 11h00 – 12h30 and 15h00 – 16h00 on weekends. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Where to stay: Brenaissance Wine Estate offers a lavish selection of Luxury and Vineyard Suites. Enjoy Brenaissance Premium wines at the estate’s Café Blanc de Noir or order a picnic to enjoy in the vineyards.
LovanE Wine Estate
LovanE Wine Estate is one of the smallest wine estates in the region, promising an exclusive escape. Wine tasting is available from 10h00 – 17h00 Monday to Sunday, and Wine Trivia Evenings are hosted on certain nights of the week. Closed on public holidays.
Where to stay: LovanE offers Standard, Luxury, and Vineyard Rooms (Disabled Rooms available). Wake up to divine breakfasts served in the restaurant or on the wooden deck, and relax beside the swimming pool, sipping award winning wines.
Devonvale Golf & Wine Estate
Devonvale Golf & Wine Estate is a championship golf course and working wine farm just outside of Stellenbosch. You can sample wines in the tasting room from 10h00 – 17h00 on weekdays, and 10h00 – 16h00 on Saturdays. Closed on Sundays.
Where to stay: Devonvale has luxury apartments and hotel rooms to choose from. Spend your days playing golf, unwinding by the pool, or enjoying spa treatments.
Zorgvliet Wines
Zorgvliet Wines, tucked away in the Banghoek Valley, boasts award winning wines, an exceptional wedding venue, and a deli. Enjoy a picnic on the lawns under the Oak trees while the kids play on the jungle gym. Wine tasting is offered from 09h00 – 17h00 Monday to Friday, 10h00 – 17h00 on weekends, and 10h00 – 15h00 on public holidays.
Where to stay: Zorgvliet Wines Country Lodge offers a selection of family cottages, double rooms, and suites. There is a private wine studio, pool area, and a restaurant. Breakfast is served as a continental picnic basket or set meal.
Marianne Wine Estate
Marianne Wine Estate is set in an entrancing setting with a view of Table Mountain. Book a 1.5 hour “grape to wine” tour which includes a vineyard and cellar tour where you can learn about the award winning blends. Wine tasting is available from 09h00 – 17h00 daily.
Where to stay: Marianne Wine Estate & Guesthouse offers stylish loft apartments surrounded by citrus orchards, and rooms in the Manor House. Enjoy South African cuisine with a Mediterranean twist at the lakeside restaurant OLIVELLO, relax around one of two swimming pools, or picnic amongst the orchards.
Zevenwacht Wine Estate
Zevenwacht Wine Estate encompasses a restaurant, cheesery, spa, and winery. Wine tasting is available daily and cellar tours can be arranged. You can also book chocolate, cheese, and wine pairings.
Where to stay: Zevenwacht Country Inn features an array of Deluxe and Luxury Suites, Self-catering chalets, and Vineyard cottages, each with private terraces and views of Table Bay and False Bay.
