Nobu Wine&Dine Masterclass & MCC Series
Every alternate month, Nobu Cape Town will feature a fine Methode Cap Classique producer, pairing their sparkling wines for an evening of fabulous bubbles and flavours in the Nobu Lounge. In the in-between months, some of South Africa’s most iconic wineries and winemakers will conduct Vertical Masterclass evenings that showcase different vintages of the same wine; paired with the finest Nobu cuisine.
Jane Broughton attended the first Vertical Masterclass Wine&Dine and had this to say: “The Vertical Masterclass was a wonderful opportunity to taste several vintages of a local estate’s flagship wine – in this case, Kleine Zalze’s award-winning Chenin Blanc. Several Chenins were successfully paired to an exquisite array of spicy pan-Asian dishes from the Nobu kitchen. This would be a fun outing for a group of friends or even a special date night”.
One&Only Cape Town ambassador, Aubrey Ngcungama, will host the evenings while Head Sushi Chef Keisuke “Keke” Itoh and Head Chef Dil Tamang offer exceptional flavours and flair. Assisting in both events will be Nobu’s wine steward, Tinashe Nyamudoka, winner of the Inter-Hotel Challenge for Junior Sommelier.
The Nobu Lounge MCC Evenings are priced at R495 per person while the Nobu Vertical Masterclass events are priced at R450 per person. To reserve your table, call 021 431 4511 or email [email protected].
