Stopover at Meerkat Manor Guest House in Komatipoort and feel the peace and quiet of the mountain spreading over you. Sit on the veranda and gaze at the Game reserve, with giraffe, buffalo, impala and the occasional elephant in plain view. From sunset the snorting of the hippos can be heard, and at dawn the rushing of the Crocodile River's waters mingle with the early calls of the many birds at home here.
