"'n Paar lekker restaurante en interresante winkels. Jammer daar is nie die gerief van 'n Spar of ander winkel vir basiese benodighede binne Kalkbaai nie. Die area het ook (ten spite van die groot huise teen die berghang) oud en armer voorgekom. Moet noem van Kalkbaai se teater en die restayrant Salt."

"Vishoek staar 'n afgrond in die gesig, veral die hoofstraat. Die strande word altyd netijies gehou, maar die chaos in die hoofstraat is nie wenslik nie."
"Small town with beach where you can take walks or relax. It is probably not perfect for swimming and considered not very safe once you go to Noordhoek Beach. The area has pretty nice houses and is safe and calm. We very much enjoyed staying here."
"The south-easter is always a problem. Lots of lovely restaurants and cafe's. Gaslight café has good food at very reasonable prices. Breakfast there was very nice and not at all expensive."
