"Road condition through Pakhuis Pass to Calvinia not that good. A few guests that I met in Darling had punctures from the sharp stones. The scenery is great but rather not drive without all terrain tyres on your vehicle and take a compressor and can of tyre weld with just in case. "
"Clanwilliam is a lovely place, welcoming and quaint. Do not miss the Rooibos tea shop, and make sure you go to Nancy's for breakfast. Their toasted sandwiches are the best in the world, and their rooibos tea milkshake is worth a return visit."
"Love the town. The Flower Church in season is amazing, especially the graveyard. The Quilt Exhibition in the museum was astounding."

"Clanwilliam was awesome. Great place to visit, with friendly people and service from retailers, restaurants and petrol stations. The guy at the petrol station assisted us in fixing our flat wheel as all tyre retailers was closed the Sunday. Would recommend this destination to anyone."

"Ons het nie baie tyd in Clanwilliam self deurgebring nie, maar het drie keer daar gaan eet. Eers by 'n gastehuis met die mooiste interessantste tuin en toe weer by 'n padstal en laastens by 'n restaurant met 'n oulike winkel vir snuisterye. Dit was drie uiteenlopende, maar goeie ervarings. Ons het nie die teefabriek besoek nie, wat dalk 'n goeie idee is vir 'n volgende keer. Ons het Clanwilliam agtergelaat met 3 pare rooi vellies en wag nog vir die regte geleentheid om hulle te dra!"
