"Fish Hoek is a sleepy town with many elderly people living out their retirement. Shops and facilities seem geared for this making special provision for parking, wheelchair access, etc. The beach is nicely situated and maintained very well by the local council and also the place you will find the nicest soft serve ice cream you can get anywhere! Excellent restaurants, malls, sights and sounds are found nearby. When main road seems congested, Ou Kaapseweg provides a scenic alternative drive. Noordhoek beach, Kommetjie, Chapmans Peak Drive, Hout Bay, Simonstown, Kalk Bay, Muizenberg, are all within arms length making this little gem a perfect destination for exploring the magical South. If you want to taste the best steak you will have in a long time. Try Barracudas! For price friendly meals you can try Expresso Coffee shop near Pick 'n Pay. For the best cappuccino, try Karma at Long Beach Mall. And certainly, the best spare ribs we have had in a very long time we got at Spur at town Square. Not too shabby for a sleepy little town! We come here every year. These are just some of the reasons we do!"
"A friendly city that makes provision for everyone's needs. For example: for serious runners and swimmers and for lazybones, of which we had both in our small group. In close proximity to similar towns along the coastline. Many options for great seafood dinners. We really enjoyed our visit to Fish Hoek."
"Lovely beach, wonderful catwalk, friendly community, nice reasonably priced restaurants, plenty to do in and around Fish Hoek area."
"Baie besig waar die winkels geleë is. Strate is ook nou en tydens druktyd vorder die verkeer stadig. Was sentraal geleë vir die aktiwiteite waarvoor ons gekom het."
"A place where you can unwind, relax, take long beach walks and appreciate the beautiful views, or browse around interesting shops. A wide choice of places to eat and close enough to shops or the mall if you want to cook your own meals. Whatever your preference, you will not be disappointed. good for couple time and for the kids, our boys, aged 7 and 10 did not want to go home. Definitely recommending it for families or couples."
"I just enjoyed the fact that everything was just a walking distance away ─ from public transport to grocery shopping to eating places and most of all the beach."
"Pragtige dorpie. Sentraal geleë om al die mooi plekkies rondom Kaap en omgewing te besoek, sonder om in die geharwar te wees. Heerlike staproete langs see. Toad in the village by Noordhoek is aan te bevele."
"Vishoek is 'n baie oulike plek. Eerste keer wat ons die plek besoek en sal vir seker weer draai. "
"Everything was convenient as the shops is walking distance and my children is talking about going there again."
"A safer destination than many similar places in the Western Cape. What you sacrifice in access, you gain in safety. Do remember to go to the fish and chip shop in the middle of the main street."
"Vishoek self het vir my 'n bietjie agteruit gegaan, maar dit was nog steeds lekker om op die strand te gaan stap. Ons uitstappies Kalkbaai toe was egter baie lekker, want daar is definitief genoeg om te doen, te sien en plekke om te eet."
"A small town on the Cape Coast, beautiful relaxed. A place to be if you want to relax and enjoy the scenery in and around the town."
"So much to see, super easy to find your way around. The people are very friendly around here. Beautiful oceanic views. Really Peaceful. "
"Many outdoor activities in the surrounding area within a short travelling and walking distance."
