"I was surprised to not find a nice upmarket shopping mall in Knysna. Only found the Knysna mall which is okay, but nothing like George's Garden Route Mall. Knysna does have a lot of wonderful touristy shops and activities though."

"Knowing Knysna from having grown up within the Garden Route area, I was a bit disappointed. The traditional tourist attraction shops within the main street and surrounding area are evaporating and being replaced by cheap local usage shops. Over and above the Waterfront one really has to drive out somewhere else such as the Heads, Brenton, Plettenberg Bay and further to enjoy openness. The Superspar in Sedgefield is even more modern and better than the one in Knysna."
