"Clarens restaurants are expensive and there are few options for purchasing supplies in town if you are self-catering. We would be better prepared for this next time. The people of Clarens are friendly and helpful. The car guards can be a bit annoying. A visitor info center may have been helpful but we managed without nonetheless."
"Unfortunately I arrived during loadshedding. Restaurants were already closed at 20:00 and could not have anything for supper."
"Clarens is great for someone who loves the outdoors and simply put want to just chill and relax."
"Die dorp gaan agteruit: die paaie is onbegaanbaar, die water ondrinkbaar. Die mense bly darem vriendelik."
"The car guards were extremely annoying and continually asking for money every time we parked. To the point that they would not move their buckets until you paid them. I feel that this needs to be controlled. A car guard also came into the little bakery in town on Sunday morning demanding his breakfast and drink from the front till - he was filthy with no shoes on and standing on top of people trying to eat their breakfast. Not the best ending to the weekend."
"Clarens is very nice and with many entertainment activities, but the lodges are always fully booked."
