"Dis jammer om te sien hoe die omliggende area agteruitgegaan het. Maar daar is steeds fantastiese strande om na te gaan. Scottburgh as jy hou van meer mense en sosiaal wees en Rock Bay bly 'n persoonlike gunsteling."
"If you like remote beaches like I do this is the perfect place. Just enough to do in the means by restaurants and little shops. Mostly enjoyed Waves for great seafood, best view in non pretentious atmosphere."

"Spar is haaglik, maar kon regkom met ander winkel. Baie lekker gekuier by Cattle and Barrel - Afrikaanse eienaars, wat ook nuwe vriende geword het. Swemstrand word met minibusse oorval & nie aangenaam om te gebruik nie. Dorpie egter baie skoon - munisipaliteit doen moeite."
"Other that the beautiful Tala there is not much to do there although there are probably walks and such we don't know about. We were there for a Wedding but no reason to return."

"Beautiful area and people were friendly but the road is very bad due to a stop/go situation that seems to be abandoned and road is broken up tar and gravel not good for a car - better for a bakkie/SUV."

"Umkomaas is a small "mini town" which promotes tranquillity compared to the buzz of the larger surrounding areas such as Margate and Amanzimtoti. It had clean and quiet beaches with an absolutely gorgeous little restaurant on the main beachfront by the shark diving activity area; although the restaurant was small and battled to cater for large groups of patrons, they had the most amazing food, excellent service and a very quaint deck overlooking the sea."
