"Stunning location all round - the perfect fisherman village close to Cape Town. One of our favourite spots."
Daar is nie nog so 'n lekker stapstrand soos Paternoster sin nie.
Almal is vriendelik. "
"Really gorgeous. On the safety side did not feel unsafe at all just have to be aware as petty theft is a possibility if doors and windows are left open."
"We stayed in St. Helena for 20 days before staying in Paternoster and enjoyed the more relaxed pace on the north side of the peninsula more than the more frenetic pace in Paternoster. The beach at Paternoster, though, is definitely superior to any beach going north until Dwarkersbos. Great for sufing, sail boarding, kayaking, beach runs and walks and birding."
"The beaches are sublime. We loved the long, peaceful Langstrand for a morning stroll and a dip with a pod of dusky dolphins, and the afternoon business of the fishing boats coming in with their catch. A lonely seal entertained us one morning diving for fish close to the rocks at the Mosselbank divide. There was a huge pod of whales frolicking just outside the bay at Tietiesbaai shooting multiple waterspouts up into the sky in some kind of orchestrated sequence, reminiscent of those fountains that dance up from the ground. We were lucky to see one or two jumping as well before the light faded. One negative about the town was that, as a vegetarian, the famous gastronomy was sorely lacking! We managed to find a very dry chickpea curry at one restaurant, followed by pizza, pizza, more pizza, and finally, a veg curry which tasted like a lamb curry with the lamb taken out! Fresh vegetables and salads would be a pleasant option."
"Too many drunk people and the police is doing nothing about it. Also, the people selling crayfish (which was under size) bothered us a lot at Malgassie."
