"Uvongo het beslis nie in die 20 jaar wat ons daar was vooruitgegaan nie. Dis jammer om te sien die munisipaliteite doen geen onderhoud op paaie en sypaadjies soos wat moet gedoen word nie. Ons het veral nie naweke in die aande veilig gevoel in die strandareas nie. Daar was partytjies en gedrinkery op parkeerplekke langs die see. Maar dit was skoon en netjies die volgende dag."

"Margate het vir ons baie agteruit gegaan. Was tot so 8 jaar gelede elke jaar daar. Dit is nou half "scary" ─ orals lê rommel en gebreekte glas. Die hoeveelheid eiendomme wat afgeleë en verlate staan is ook 'n bewys. Baie leë winkels. Sal weer gaan, maar hoop dit sal beter wees."
