Die dorp is grootliks dierevriendelik, insluitende die strande. Kennisgewings by die meeste winkels dui aan of honde welkom is. Negatief: Te veel verkeer, baie parkeerplek, maar min parkering oop. Die paaie is redelik in 'n slegte kondisie op party plekke en baie ongemaklik."

"Glencairn Heights bied 'n gevoel van veiligheid. Die voorstad is 'n bietjie ver uit Kaapstad self, maar dis piekfyn as jy net wil rus. Dit het ook sy eie baai wat stil en veilig is. "

"Vishoek self is 'n besige dorp na my oordeel. Nie heeltemal 'n vakansiedorp soos die omliggende dorpies nie. Dit is meer vir verblyf en rondry. Die hoofstraat is baie besig as jy daar verblyf het en die treinspoor maak dit nog besiger, maar dit is steeds n plek wat 'n mens ten minste een keer moet besoek."

Lots to see and do and right smack in the middle of a lot of places needed to be visited when having a holiday in the Cape region. Definitely worthwhile a revisit again and again. "
