Ek sal graag weer gaan!"
"Vanwyksdorp is a very small town, so unless you are going for peace and quiet do not expect there to be all the conveniences of a big city. The people are exceptionally friendly and every single person we walked past said hello with a lovely smile and a nod. We felt very welcome and safe in the town when we were walking around and exploring."
"Apparently this is the local town, but we never saw it! We weren't interested in going anywhere once we'd got there!"
"River full of water, bright green reeds and abundant birdlife. Vanwyksdorp is a hidden gem and well worth the visit."
"The road from Vanwyksdorp to Herbertsdale is breath-taking (and is suited for normal vehicles), as is the Rooiberg Pass (which requires all-wheel drive)."
"A must- visit town off the beaten track. The people are just as friendly and caring. Lunch too was a good experience. Could have stayed for a week if possible. There are olive trees, pomagranite orchard, sheep and the fully fitted woodwork facility with a real medical doctor and carpenter."
