12 Parsonage - De Kothuize is a charming and historically significant cottage for up to 6 people, located in Graaff-Reinet’s picturesque Parsonage Street, and is ideally situated for visiting the town’s extensive museums and other facilities.
The cottage is furnished with several Cape-country antiques and prints and comprises 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a kitchen, a dining area, and a lounge. The main bedroom contains a king-size bed, while the second bedroom is furnished with a double bed. Twin single beds are available in the third bedroom, and each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath, and a shower.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge-freezer, a stove, an oven, and a microwave. The spacious living area features a 6-seater dining table, a comfortable lounge suite, and a TV with selected DStv channels.
The cottage opens onto a lovely patio fitted with an outdoor dining table as well as braai facilities, and overlooks the beautiful garden that boasts a water feature and leads to a communal swimming pool separated by a wall.
There are several excellent restaurants located within easy reach of the cottage, and Graaff-Reinet is rich in history with a National Monument and various museums that can be visited. Activities in the area include walking trails and 4x4 trails in the Camdeboo National Park, fishing, canoeing, and boating at Nqweba Dam, and visitors can also take a drive and view the Valley of Desolation.
