House Rules

General information and house rules:

- The unit is equipped for self-catering
- House rules and regulations are monitored by the Home Owners Association management and needs to be taken into account at all times.
- Check-in: 14:00. Check-out: Before 10:00. Unless other arrangements have been made with the owner. This gives the cleaning team enough time to ensure that the house is prepared for new guests.
- The keys are in a lock box on the premises. Guests will receive the private code directly from the owner before the check-in time.
- Accommodation is only available to the number of guests as specified on the booking when confirmed. The main guest in whose name the booking is made takes full responsibility for all guests. No additional sleeping spaces, tents, caravans or the like will be allowed.
- As soon as guests arrive, they need to switch on the geyser.
- WiFi is not available, but guests can bring their own WiFi router. But please note that it is not compatible with Fixed LTE routers.
- The unit has a Samsung Smart TV. DStv Premium is available at an extra cost per day and guests don't have to bring their own DStv decoder and/or smart card.
- The outdoor braai facilities has the necessary grids and equipment.
- One set of bedding per bed or sleeping space is provided.
- Guests need to bring their own bath and swimming towels.
- Rubbish removal takes place on Tuesday mornings at 08:00 (place bags on the pavement outside). Please do not place any rubbish directly in the rubbish bins. Plastic bags are provided under the kitchen sink. There is a large black bin outside by the back door.
- A cleaning service can be arranged at an extra cost per day. Please contact the owner to make the necessary arrangements.
- Electricity is included. If there should be insufficient units, please let the owner know in advance.
- Loadshedding: 2 rechargeable lights, candles and matches, a free-standing gas bottle and a whistling kettle are provided. Please also note that the cell phone tower will also be affected by loadshedding. On the ESP app the schedule will be Hartenbos, Mosselbaai (7).
- Pets are allowed with prior arrangement. Maximum 2 small lap dogs are allowed. The premises are fenced with a 1 m-high fence. When in public, dogs should please remain on lead. One small dog bed and plastic bowls for water and food are provided. No pets are allowed the furniture or bedding. Guests must please clean up after their pets and leave the garden in the state it was found. There is a poop-scoop available for use. No excessive barking will be tolerated. Guests bring their pets along at own risk.
- The garden is tended to regularly and it might happen during guests' stay. If this is the case, guests will be notified in advance.
- No noise is allowed after 22:00. Music/volume/voices must please be kept low and the neighbours are to be respected. The Home Owners Association of the area will address repeated complaints and may ask that guests leave the premises without refund.
- Smoking and hubbly pipes are strictly prohibited inside. Guests must please smoke at least 1.5 m from any open windows and doors.
- Please keep the same security measures in mind as you would at home.
- Respect the privacy of the neighbours by not walking through their yards or parking in front of their entrances.
- A maximum of 3 vehicles are allowed.
